Isaiah’s Call is located on 28 acres of rolling hills just south of Port Perry, Ontario on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Consisting of both agricultural land and woodlot, with multiple ponds and marshes, this property is both unique and pleasing. With an abundance of birds and animals, most will feel a “closeness” to creation while observing all that the property’s natural occupants display. Whether you enjoy sitting by a pond or stream or walking in either an open field or wooded forest, you will enjoy and feel at peace by the natural surroundings of this property. There is an outdoor gazebo and fireplace, where you may wish to spend your time enjoying the fresh air and gazing at the open space as you relax and unwind. Just 10 minutes north of the 407 and 20 minutes north of the 401 in Durham region, Isaiah’s Call is easily accessible from the GTA. You will feel like you have arrived at a secluded location even though you just left home!

The idea behind this room is of barren birch trees. The trees are in a time of rest and preparation for the next season. Our lives also need to follow the natural rhythms of life. In this fast-paced, high demanding, and noisy world, we all need to take time to stop, retreat, and replenish to be fully alive. God asks us to rest not only once a week on the Sabbath but to take lengthier times of rest just like the birch trees. The Lord invites us to come to Him to receive a replenishing for the weary and depleted and he will give us rest for our mind, heart, body, and soul. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NIV

The thought behind this room is of raindrops on flowers. Just like the rain adds life and nourishment to the earth, so does the word of the Lord. Through intentional times of prayer, listening, and being fed, God’s Word provides encouragement and hope after a season of hardships, struggles, serving and sacrifice. It is our prayer that you are renewed with a fresh filling of strength and courage for the next season. “…those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NIV

The vision behind this room is of beautiful deep red poppies and the feelings they invoke. The poppies remind us of the veterans who died and sacrificed their lives for us as Jesus did. In life and ministry, we all have experienced exhaustion, pain, brokenness, woundedness and tragedy. It is here that you are given an invitation to bring your brokenness before the Lord for healing and restoration, so you may lead from a place of greater wholeness. “…the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal Glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10 NIV

The concept behind this room is of the ocean and sand. The ocean is so vast and deep, and the grains of sand are unmeasurable. This is the truth of God’s vast, unmeasurable love, mercy, and compassion for his children, regardless of what we have done or not done in our lives. We all have seasons in life in which we wrestle with our faith and even the Lord. At times we may even run from him, our callings, our ministries, our families, etc. This is an invitation to stop running and return to the Lord. The prayer and hope behind this room is that you would be filled with God’s mercy, compassion and love so that you may return to your journey of faith and life more fulfilled. “Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love…” Joel 2:13 NIV
